This marks the first time that the Cronut® will be available in Hong Kong, as Chef Dominique and his teams worldwide celebrate the pastry’s 7th birthday this month.
The Cronut® pastry is the unique creation by Chef Dominique Ansel that many have described to be a croissant-doughtnut hybrid. After its launch at the flagship Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York City on May 10, 2013, Cronut® pastry fans spanned the world, making it the most virally talked about dessert item in history, including being named by TIME magazine as one of the best inventions of 2013.
當文歷餅店 by Dominique Ansel’s special Cronut® will be a brand new flavor that has never been served before in any of Chef Dominique’s shops: Lychee & Jasmine, filled with homemade lychee jam and fragrant jasmine ganache. As is tradition, the monthly flavor of the Cronut® never repeats, so guests will have the opportunity to try this unique flavor created exclusively just for Hong Kong.
This limited-edition Lychee & Jasmine Cronut® ($48) will be available daily from May 22 to June 7, 2020 exclusively at 當文歷餅店 by Dominique Ansel, while supplies last. The pastries are baked fresh each morning and available starting when the shop opens daily until sold out. Guests can purchase up to 6 Cronut® pastries per person, for takeaway or dine-in.
