The Most Active Pandas in the World: See All the Stops on the 1,600 Pandas Tour of Hong Kong!

June 25th 2014 If you haven't been living in a hole the past month, you've surely heard about the 1,600 paper mache pandas taking a tour the fragrant harbour. In an adorable and impressive artistic feat that saw French artist Paulo Grangeon's little legion travel through six countries to get here, the bears with the notoriously lazy predisposition enjoyed a burst of energy in Hong Kong, making their way around 16 major landmarks! A strong visual statement to raise awareness of the species' situation, the 1,600 pandas represent the remaining number of giant pandas left in the wild. Click the pictures or 'Next' to see them all!   Next On June 24th 2014, the pandas made it to their final Hong Kong destination, PMQ, where they will be able go straight back to lounging about for a three-week exhibition. Visitors can get up close and personal with the posing pandas and learn about how they were made. Being true to their motto of "creativity meets conservation", the talented tenants of PMQ have also come together to create a wide array of panda paraphernalia, all produced using sustainable material and methods. A portion of the profits will be donated to WWF Hong Kong for conservation and educational purposes. Attendees are also allowed to "adopt" the paper mache pandas, with proceeds going entirely to WWF Hong Kong. It's pretty black and white - make your way over to PMQ and help support a good cause!
