I’ve always been mesmerized by the sunlight hitting the buildings, creating beautiful reflections on the glass facades in Hong Kong. However, the main attraction begins when the sun is down and the city begins to light up. In this video, I wanted to capture the cityscape and express it the way I visualize Hong Kong.
I’ve been doing photography as a serious enthusiast for eight years now and just started doing time lapse video in 2013. The time lapse technique is best for me to visualize how everything is always busy and moving at a fast pace. It’s typical life in Hong Kong.
I visited several places which are quite well known to local tourists and photographers to have the best view of the city, and Victoria Peak has to be one of my favorites because it has a breathtaking view of both Kowloon and Hong Kong. I went there a few times to get the best sunrise footage. I loved going back there, even after I had the footage I wanted, since it would still be a wonderful experience just to get out there and enjoy the walk and the views.
