Tickle your funny bone this January with the comic from down under, Dave Hughes.
Dubbed an ‘extraordinary comedic mind’ by The Age, funny man Hughes – aka ‘a typical Aussie bloke’ – is jetting to Hong Kong for three hilarious performances at The Punchline Comedy Club this January, 2017. Yes, we know the New Year feels far away but now’s the time to claim your seats as the Friday and Saturday night shows are already near sold out!
Let’s learn a little more about Hughes. Working-class roots, a university drop-out, and a former abattoir worker – that’s slaughterhouse to non-French-speaking folk – it’s perhaps not the background you’d expect. And yet, he has become one of Australia’s most popular and successful stand-up comedians. His honest, direct, and to the point sense of humour has proven a hit, with sell-out shows across the country as well several long-term roles in television and radio.
Most recently, Hughes hosted Australia’s Got Talent 2016 – but that’s just the start of the story. He has also starred on national stations KIIS and MIX FM Drive, Channel Nine’s AFL Footy Show, and The Rove – not to mention his much-need injection of humour on Channel 10’s nightly news show The Project, and his role as host on Nova 100’s 12-year breakfast radio show with Kate Langbroek, Hughesy, and Kate.
We’ll see you there!
