Pucks at the ready! The pitch may be cold, but the competition will be smoking hot as 1,500 players from across the world battle it out for the Hockey 5’s title. As the largest and most competitive ice hockey event in Asia, it makes sense that the prestigious Hockey 5’s tournament is taking over Mega Ice, the city’s largest ice rink which boasts epic views over Victoria Harbour. Everyone is welcome to cheer on the athletes as they pursue the perfect goal, and after a week of intense matches the final on May 7 at 9.30pm is going to be a game you don't want to miss.

It seems that ice rinks are all the rage in Hong Kong this weekend, with the world's first ever theatrical ice skating company, the Imperial Ice Stars, spinning into the spotlight with their award-winning show, Swan Lake on Ice. Expect dramatic lifts, soaring leaps, and intricate foot work, as this world-class team of skaters take to the stage and bring Tchaikovsky's iconic love story to life.

We hope you're feeling hungry, because a mouth-watering selection of food markets are popping up across our city this weekend. First up, taking meals on wheels to a new level of tasty, it's the debut appearance of the Food Truck Festival. In light of recent changes to restrictions surrounding these delicious vehicles, the Boomshack, A la maison XXL Seafood & Grill, Homie Cookies, and Super Star food trucks will be parked up in the PMQ courtyard for an entire weekend, alongside an island bar and a range of other food stalls. We're already eyeing up Boomshack's chicken waffles oozing with cheese. Yum!
Make sure you save some room, because restaurant app FeedMe Guru is showcasing 11 of Hong Kong’s most delicious cafés and restaurants, supported by Justina R, every Saturday afternoon until June 11. From Korean Fried Chicken by Moyo, to the experimental Liquid Nitrogen Popcorn of Zuc.cch.ero, prepare yourself for a seriously flavourful day at the Alley Street Food Market. Guru Notes are the designated currency, with one Guru Note equating to $10 and dishes costing between four and ten Guru Notes apiece.
Bear with us, because there's one more market to squeeze in. A delectable selection of Hong Kong's finest eateries, including Golden Pig and MAMA Burger and Lobster, are rustling up their signature dishes every Sunday until June 12 at the returning Tong Chong Street Market, alongside some new, exclusive creations. In addition to tasty food, there will be a delicious range of fresh farmer produce on sale, tips for growing your own crops, and a sustainability corner selling seeds to raise money for Hong Kong charity, Food Angel. Pooches are welcome to join in the fun, but please remember to bring your own bags!

Fancy a scrum? Get ready for an epic battle this weekend as the Asian Rugby Championship takes over the Hong Kong Football Club for the campaign opener. From art and craft workshops to city treasure hunts, there are plenty of opportunities to learn something new this weekend. In association with Team Building Asia and iDiscover City Walks, the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) has planned a journey of discovery through Sheung Wan and Central. Teams of 4 to 6 will have to take photographs, answer quiz questions, and pass through checkpoints as they learn about our city's history, geography, and trivia. After three hours of downtown hunting, light refreshments will be available at the Maritime Museum's Cafe 8 as the prize giving ceremony unfolds. If you haven't got a full team, don't panic - RGS will link you up with team mates on the day.

Feeling adventurous? Take on the C3fit Action Asia Challenge this weekend, and see if you can complete the scenic trail through the New Territories within the time constraints. Designed to promote healthy living, this annual race offers participants the opportunity to run the entire course, or mix it up with cycling and kayaking - plus a 100m abseil off Tai Lam Chung Damn. Athletes can go solo or pair up with team mates and split the load. There are still some spaces left, so sign up quick for these 12km, 15km, or 37km challenges! If you fancy a tipple and love your rum, then you'll be in your element this month. In the lead up to the Rum Festival HK, 26 of our favourite bars, including Rummin Ting's and The Pontiac, are taking part in the biggest rum race our city has ever seen.
