Sunny Photography, the list seems endless, as he takes us on a nostalgic journey of his beloved city in the stunning new video
Homecoming.
“After wandering around the world for over half a year, I returned to my homeland, Hong Kong.
Homecoming is a simple video to express my sentiment for leaving home almost a year ago, missing this city, and eventually getting myself back. However, my return visit was short-lived and only lasted for 28 days before I had to say goodbye again and leave for the UK to start a new chapter of my life, which made me even more emotional whilst editing this video for missing my hometown. The text at the start is from Candy Mok, my dearest niece, who sent me a voice message when I had just left Hong Kong after the first month."
Whilst the beautiful images create a sense of tranquility, Pang says they weren't always a breeze to film. “My good friend Dicky Lau came up with the impulsive idea to get up to the top of the highest hill in Hong Kong to capture the cloud of sea in the early morning at 6am. We struggled in the terrible weather and strong humidity during that midnight, but we held on and were rewarded for those images. I'd like to thank him for that, as well as my friends and unknown Hong Kong citizens who are hidden characters in this clip who allowed me to make them part of my story.”
