There's never a dull moment in Hong Kong, whether you're navigating the neon scattered streets of Mong Kok, haggling in the bustling night markets, or dashing across the city on the trusty MTR. And if you're anything like 20-year-old film maker
Sam Robinson, you'll get a kick out of calling it home - even after you've left.
Now pursuing his passion for film making in California, the born and raised Hong Konger recently returned to the 852 on a mission to capture his homeland in all its chaotic glory. Mixing snapshots of iconic city scenes with hyperlapse footage and epic GoPro shots, he proves that there's so much more to Hong Kong than shopping malls in his brilliant video,
Focus Hong Kong.
"It's impossible to get bored in this city because there is always something to do, and that's what I love about it," Robinson tells Localiiz. "One minute you can be in the middle of nowhere on an isolated beach and the next you can be on the roof of a 50 floor building overlooking the skyline at night. Most people outside Hong Kong don't realise how much the city has to offer and the variety of things you can do, and I wanted to capture this in my video. I'm so proud to call Hong Kong my home."
Well, we couldn't agree more - although we do enjoy the occasional spot of shopping too!
