Trashy Summer: Aren’t You Glad Hong Kong’s Beaches Don’t Look Like This?

August 8th 2014 Hong Kong has its share of polluted beaches, from washed up bottles and bags to Styrofoam coolers but our community always seems to organize a harbour-side clean up before it gets too bad. Unfortunately, there’s a beach in nearby Shen Zhen, a snapshot of which has been posted on Imgur, that is a graphic reminder of what our future could look like if we are not vigilant. Can you imagine tanning and spending a nice day out relaxing on a beach full of trash? Keep our beaches clean!
