Our dynamic city is overflowing with events and excitement this weekend. From furry fun with four-legged friends, to al fresco movies and whisky workshops, we're sending February off with a bang.

 Russell Peters Almost Famous World Tour

Touching down in Macau with his Almost Famous 2016 World Tour, Peters is set to win over his audience with his razor-sharp wit and gift for improv. His natural flair and fiery style has earned him an impressive sell-out record in the duration of his career - he was the first comedian to sell out Brooklyn Barclay's Arena, the first to sell out Toronto's Air Canada Centre six times, and now he is hosting the first comedic performance at Macau's Studio City Event Centre. Oosh Grand Opening

oosh Dance the night away at Hong Kong's hottest new gay event. Oosh is here to spice up the city's gay nightclub scene, with international DJs taking to the decks every Friday night from here on. Let yourself go as these music maestros fill the floor with quality music until the early hours of Saturday morning. Created in partnership with Guerrilla Hong Kong, the popular monthly gay pop up, Oosh is adding a touch of je ne sais quois to Hong Kong's gay scene. Check out our interview with GJ, the co-founder. Dream of the Past: Ancient Chinese Court Dances

Performing eleven dances from various periods, as far back as the Xia Dynasty in 1,600 BC, these talented performers are reviving the long-lost treasure of Ancient Chinese court dances. Inspired by their fascination with birds, these exquisite performances will bring history to life, with traditional long sleeves filling the Kwai Tsing Theatre. Rooftop Republic Presents: Urban Farming for Kids

In a leafy oasis, amidst Central's skyscrapers, the passionate Rooftop Republic team will introduce your junior gardeners to the world of urban farming. Dog Adoption Sunday

adoption sunday Hong Kong is barking mad this weekend! If you are crazy about canines, and longing for a furry companion to call your own, then get yourself down to Dog Adoption Sunday. Organised by Kirsten's Zoo Charity, a not for profit volunteer animal rescue organisation, Rude Bar will be overflowing with furry faces looking for a new home. Their adoption events have proven hugely successful in the past, with animals of all shapes and sizes starting afresh at the side of their new, adoring owner. However, before you scoop up a pooch, please paws for thought and seriously consider if you have the time, resources, and space to welcome these loyal creatures into your life. Happy adopting! Freespace Happening 

freespace happening Creative sparks are flying over at the West Kowloon Cultural District this Sunday, with the return of Freespace Happening. Youngsters are spoilt for choice, with open-air drawing, instrument-making, and costume designing workshops courtesy of Community Art Network. Music from around the world will fill the air as a whole range of musicians (from Cantonese opera to African beats) step into the spotlight on the Central Lawn. Adults and kids alike are invited to step into the story, with participatory performances popping up throughout the afternoon (click here to register). So get your creative juices flowing, grab your picnic blanket, and head over to Kowloon for a colourful, relaxing afternoon in the park. Malt Masters: Whisky Festival 2016

Distilleries from all corners of the world will showcase their finest liquor over two days, in an epic celebration of the oaky tipple. Industry experts will be on hand to answer your questions, and masterclasses in tasting, collecting, and food pairing are scheduled throughout the weekend. Returning for its third edition, Malt Masters is now a two-day event, riding high on the success and popularity of last year. Cheers! India By The Bay
