The second Poho Bazaar is set to take a sleepy corner of Sheung Wan by storm again this weekend as food, shops and entertainment spill out on to the streets around Po Hing Fong on Saturday, June 1st. The event, which is being organised by healthy DIY takeaway gurus
Secret Ingredient, will also feature Localiiz favourites Abode Design Store and style-setting boutique
Sambag.
“The Poho neighbourhood is filled with cafes, galleries, design shops, and more. We wanted to create an event where people can learn about the area and embrace its creative and entrepreneurial spirit,” said Max Von Poelnitz, founder of Secret Ingredient.
“We have collaborated with the nearby shops to bring a family event during the day where people can relax, mingle, drink, eat, and of course, be entertained! A slew of entertainers will be jamming on the street,” continued Max, adding that Poho Bazaar’s official media sponsor HK Magazine will also be providing a fun photo booth.
The annual event, which aspires to create a gathering reminiscent of a New York street fair, attracted 700 tourists and locals to Tai Ping Shan Street and its surrounds last year. With more participating business and entertainment including a pop-up yoga class and a fashion show, the 2013 Poho Bazaar promises to be even more creative and colourful.
A limited number of tickets are available at
PohoBazaar.com for HK$160, which includes two drink vouchers and one food voucher. All advance purchases will receive an additional drink ticket and be entered into a lucky draw to win a two-night stay at Vie, a five-star boutique hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
All other entries will receive US$25 off any bookings made with
The Luxe Nomad, and HK$10 from the price of each ticket will be donated to Feeding Hong Kong, a leading charity redistributing surplus food to people in need.
The event will run from 12 noon to 6pm on Saturday, June 1st.
