Movies with Meaning – Use Your Best Zombie Walk to Help Save Hong Kong’s Ecosystem!

By Localiiz 15 May 2014
May 15th 2014 Localiiz’s favourite and most innovative environmental groups The Naked Island Project and Living Islands Movement are back once again with a new kooky initiative to help save Hong Kong’s ecosystem. In their latest protest against the proposed Shek Kwu Chau Mega Incinerator, the two groups are inviting all Hong Kong residents to star in their post-apocalyptic film. On May 18th, hundreds of volunteers will be needed to play pollution-stricken victims in the ‘Incinerator Movie’. Hallow-eyed, pale-faced participants will be sent staggering around Pui O Beach, coughing up blood (ketchup) and collapsing in clouds of dust and smoke. Just like a zombie apocalypse! Filming will start at 9am, followed by lunch at Mavericks. All volunteers will need to bring as much green and grey make up as they can get their hands on, and of course as many friends as they can muster! Show up, help draw the government’s attention to the potential health risks of the proposed incinerator… and perhaps get that big break you’ve been waiting for!

What: Incinerator Movie Star Event When: Sunday May 18th 2014, 9am - 11am Where: Pui O Beach, Lantau Island, Hong Kong RSVP: On the Facebook Event
