Jaw-Dropping Video of Hong Kong Captures City's Pulse

By Sophie Pettit 4 March 2015
We've seen some impressive timelapse videos of Hong Kong in our time, but it's rare to find one that literally makes our jaws drop here at Localiiz. And here it is, an epic creation from photographer Dimid Vazhnik from Minsk. Shot on his Canon 5D mark3 during two visits to our city over a 10 month period, the final cut is definitely worth the wait. "The first time I came to Hong Kong, I was so much impressed by this place because of the density of life," Vazhnik says. "There are so many skyscrapers, people, cars in a such small square. The best view on Hong Kong is from the rooftops, that's why most of the shots are from there." That first visit wasn't enough for Vazhnik though. "During my second visit in November 2014, I became an eyewitness of the Umbrella Revolution in Hong Kong. I was impressed by the courage and perseverance of Hong Kong citizens. Some of these scenes are in my video." For more of Vazhnik's exceptional photography and videography, visit his site. https://vimeo.com/120790502
