Treat your eyes and trick your mind with the ultimate trippy (and artistic) experience, as Brazilian ‘Op Art’ master
Marcos Marin launches his first solo exhibition in Hong Kong.

Whether it be landscapes of the world’s biggest cities (including our very own Hong Kong) or portraits of history’s most beloved icons, Marcos Marin’s work always jumps off the walls. In a style reminiscent of “op art Godfather” Victor Vasarely, Martin uses perspectives, lines and colours to bring his paintings and sculptures to life.

The official artist of Prince Albert II of Monaco, Martin has seen his engaging works displayed in public spaces, galleries, and private collections all over the world. And now Hong Kongers can get in on the optical action as the
Marcos Marin OP’ART Experience comes to the
Avenue Des Arts Gallery in Hollywood Road between February 15th and March 28th.

Martin’s distinct style is known for drawing in audiences, requiring them to fully interact with his work in order to grasp the beauty of the pieces and who or what they represent. As Marin explains, “My paintings do not define a time, but perpetuate a moment of glory that brings about an enchanted perspective.”
