The TramOramic Tour is the latest addition to the Hong Kong 'bucket list', which takes our city's love affair with ding dings to a whole new level. Launched by Hong Kong Tramways, the tour invites locals and visitors to climb aboard the top deck of a charming 1920s style heritage tram and embark on a one-hour adventure to discover the city's hidden stories. With over 200,000 passengers welcomed aboard every day, the tour is likely to become a main attraction in the city.
Decked out in vintage decor, old framed photographs, and cabinets stacked with memorabilia, the elegant tramcar is certainly a cut above the morning commute. As it meanders through the streets, allowing passengers to marvel at the dimly-lit hideaways, jaw-dropping architecture, and vibrant side streets that normally go unnoticed, historian Cheng Po Hung ensures they don't miss a thing with his vibrant audio tour.

Mind-blowing facts, quaint stories, and intriguing trivia come to life in eight different languages through headphone sets as passengers take in breathtaking views of our city from above. Short bursts of traditional Chinese music set the tone, while an on-board video compares past and present Hong Kong showing us just how much the city has evolved - one of the tour's main objectives.
""The TramOramic Tour offers passengers a ‘100% Hong Kong’ experience on a unique Ding Ding from days gone by," Hong Kong Tramways' managing director Emmanuel Vivant, tells Localiiz. "With this new initiative, we aim to benefit the local tourism industry by establishing a new attraction and help preserve the 111-year old Tram heritage."
With six tours running every day, Hong Kongers have plenty of opportunity to experience the glamorous side of trams, and will even gain a complimentary Golden Ticket giving them unlimited free access to the Tramways' regular service for two days.
