Hong Kong International Bakery Expo: The Sweetest Event of the Year!

By Sophie Pettit 28 November 2016
Whether you're planning to surprise your loved ones with edible treats this year, looking for some inspiration to make your festive dessert table stand out from the crowd, or simply a sucker for cake, the Hong Kong International Bakery Expo, which opens from December 1 to 3 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, is one sweet-toothed bonanza which you don't want to miss. So what can you expect? Cake, yes - but that's just the start of the story. In addition to mind boggling displays of delicious artistry, there will be hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, and vendors from around the world showcasing their baking goods and services at wholesale prices - and all for just a $50 entrance fee!

[su_note note_color="#ff9900"]FREE TICKETS are available for collection at Complete Deelite, 2/F On Lan Centre, 11 - 15 On Lan Street, Central![/su_note]

And there's more! This feast for the eyes and the tastebuds has another very special addition to the schedule. For the very first time the Edible Artist Global Awards (EAGA) is coming to Hong Kong, with 15 of the world's most talented edible artists in tow. This is your chance to come face to face with these talented individuals, and get hands-on in the kitchen under their guidance. That's right cake-lovers, there is an extensive selection of workshops planned right through the weekend! The chance to learn from these masters is one not to be missed - especially with classes costing under half of what they would normally. Before you know it you'll be casually handcrafting sugar flowers, modelling 3D cake decorations, and adding pearlised finishes to your culinary creations. Just imagine how popular your bakes will be when they look just as good as they taste! Fancy learning more about the award-winning artists? Feast your eyes on the creations of our 5 favourite bakers, and make sure reserve your spot at the demonstrations, mini-classes, and workshops before they fill up!
