Hong Kong Inspired – The Sights and Sounds of Hong Kong's Streets

By Localiiz 18 August 2014
August 19th 2014 It warms our little Localiiz hearts to discover so many tourists inspired by our city during their travels here. Earlier this year, independent director, producer, and photographer Gabriel Pang of Singapore shot our latest Video of the Week. Localiiz spoke with Pang about his vision behind this beautiful video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-K8yYUVUkvg   Describing his piece as “a kaleidoscope of sights and sounds through the streets of Hong Kong,” Pang believes his aim is to inspire others to explore their own purpose. During his trip, he visited Victoria Peak, Temple Street night market in Yau Ma Tai, Sham Shui Po, Lan Kwai Fong, and many other great landmarks. “I love food, culture, and scenic views, but the people of Hong Kong captured me the most,” Pang told Localiiz. He clearly has a knack for capturing them well – we loved the adorable shot of that toddler! “I felt that Hong Kong has a better experience than Singapore from a tourist perspective. It has a strong influence of culture and the scenery is much more spectacular,” Pang explains. And wouldn't we all agree? The avid foodie didn’t fail to mention that he felt that Hong Kong was one of the best food locations in the world – his personal favourites are dim sum and egg tarts! For more of Pang’s work, take a look at his Behance profile. Got anything cool you'd like Localiiz to share? Send us your stuff!
