IROCO are preparing for an exciting weekend as they travel to China to take their place as a proud lead sponsor of Design Shanghai.

Attracting more than 40,000 architects, designers and developers to the 10,000 square-meter Shanghai Exhibition Centre between February 27th and March 2nd 2014, Design Shanghai, the country’s first truly international design show, will introduce dozens of world-renowned brands to the Chinese market for the first time.
Designer big-hitters including Magis, Moooi, Jousse Enterprise, Carpenters Workshop and Tom Dixon will take their place in one of three halls, divided into Contemporary, Classic and Collectible themes. There will also be an impressive selection of curatorial content from leading Chinese and Western designers, as well as installations and seminars led by the likes of Isle Crawford, John Makepeace, Michael Young and Roland Boal.

Speaking to Localiiz before the event, IROCO co-founder Sonia Jackson said, “As our work at IROCO centres on spearheading the introduction of high-end designer furniture brands into Asia, we are delighted to see that at Design Shanghai, many of these internationally acclaimed designer brands will be visible in the Chinese market for the first time.”
Design Shanghai organiser Ross Urwin, former creative director at Lane Crawford, added, “I have been travelling between London, Hong Kong and Shanghai for years. I have witnessed the rapid development of Shanghai. I believe Shanghai is the best place to showcase the world leading designs. Design Shanghai will be the most exciting design event in 2014!”
