FUN NEWS: 60 Giant Pandas Take Over Hong Kong

By Sophie Pettit 26 October 2015
You no longer need to head to Ocean Park to get a glimpse of the iconic giant panda, because sixty of them have just invaded our city in the form of adorable sculptures. The lovable creatures are the stars of the world's first Heart Panda - Giant Panda Art World Tour, which falls under the aptly named theme of "Let's Love", and opens today at 1881 Heritage in Tsim Sha Tsui. Painted by renowned internationals celebrities and artists including Kelly Chen, Karen Mok, and Coco Lee, the pandas are on a mission to raise funds for the Sheen Hok Charitable Foundation which benefits underprivileged children suffering from amblyopia and cleft lips in China. They will be auctioned off on November 4 but until then, the colourful group is setting up camp at the iconic Grand Piazza and Heritage Hall, providing you with the perfect backdrop for a cheeky selfie. So don't miss your chance to get that perfect panda pic! The free exhibition runs from October 17 to November 4 (10am to 10pm daily) at 1881 Heritage, 2A Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. More exhibitions! Why not check out Following Trams (04:06 - 01:07) and Two Depots, which runs until December 6, and the upcoming All About Bond photography exhibition? Enjoy!
