EVENT: Ocean Appreciation Month, March 28 – April 23

Hong Kong charity Ocean Recovery Alliance invites you to celebrate the ocean as the planet’s main source of life with a line up of community events this April, Hong Kong’s official Ocean Appreciation Month. Ocean Art Walk 2015 Check out three, environmentally friendly, large visual art installations in Stanley Plaza, made of recycled waste materials, designed to enhance the natural beauty of the seaside village. Enjoy a series of youth dance performances, an outreach workshop, and a host of related film screenings leading up to the Ocean in Motion Film Festival. When: March 28-April 19 Where: Stanley Plaza How much: Free admission Ocean in Motion Film Festival Enjoy screenings from local and international filmmakers who tell awe-inspiring stories of people, nature, adventure, humour, and love, which highlight the scale of the ocean, and the interdependent relationship between humans and the Ocean. Kids Ocean Day Join 1,000 students from local schools on Repulse Bay as they create an amazing aerial art spectacle using buckets and spades. The fun event is designed to motivate children to appreciate, protect, and care about their beaches and the ocean’s ecosystem, whilst having a lot of fun in the process.
