The Easter holidays are fast approaching, and while it's great having family time, the fact is the kids get a lot more time off than we do. And let's face it, more free time means more opportunity for boredom to kick in, so to help you keep them engaged on the educational side, while still letting them have heaps of fun, we check out some of the best kids' Easter camps around town.

Hong Kong Football Academy

Whether your kids are good at sports or you just want them to be, Sport4Kids has three choice camps that cater to a litany of sporting preference. First up, their Multi-Sports Camp (ages 4-10) splits the kids' time between tennis, rugby, basketball, and hockey - teaching the the inherent foundations of each sports and important periphery lessons such as teamwork. Next up is Mini-Sports & Mandarin Camp (ages 18 months - 3) - a mix of sports and Putonghua that incorporates storytelling, music, plus arts, and crafts. Last but not least is the Art and Gymnastic Camp (ages 4-11) - as well as teaching the kiddies the skills, coordination, and balance synonymous with gymnastics, there will also be pottery, painting, and sculpting.

Hebe Haven Yacht Club
A great option for getting your kids (or the ones aged 6-15 anyway) outside and taking in that good sea air during the holidays. There's loads of great activities going on over the school holidays with the Yacht Club's Adventure Watersports Week like sailing, day trips to the outer islands of Sai Kung, beach games, mini-Olympics, and kayaking. There's two separate blocks of dates in April, so if you miss out first time, you can catch the second week.

Does your little one sink like a lead balloon in the pool? Are they fighting for their lives every time they have a deep bath? Well that's not ideal. Thankfully, good ol' Harry Wright and his team of expert teachers will soon have the little tykes splashing and gliding through the water like they were born with gils. Or, at the very least, will stop you having a heart attack every time they go near the water. These guys have a ridiculous amount of stuff going on over Easter with a litany of activities and age groups catered for. To keep it (very) brief, they have Family Programmes that include horseback riding and care, family Easter fun day, and an outdoor overnight camp. For Kids Who Can't Get Enough of School

British Council
Keep the kids' minds sharp over the Easter holidays with one of the British Council's intensive courses. Each last around nine hours so they can't complain that you've robbed them of all their holiday time. Kindergarten, primary, and secondary school ages are all catered to, with a breadth of courses available covering things like English speaking & listening and interview preparation for kids in kindergarten. There's also drama, performance, reading, research, technology, and everything beyond and in-between.

Mandarin for Munchkins
The adorably named Mandarin For Muchkins offers kids aged between 2.5 to 14 years old an Easter Camp with plenty of interesting games and activities in Central and Discovery Bay. These are intended to be intensive five-day programmes (though you can book single days as well) where children will learn Mandarin through many activities - including arts and craft, music, stories, cooking, games, and singing. So it won't quite feel like school at least. The older kids have the opportunity to do trips around the city to visit museums, beaches, and parks, returning to the classroom afterwards to put together a journal detailing their day out. These classes are ideal for kids who already have a basic knowledge of Mandarin or for kids on holiday or visiting family from overseas.

Advanced computer skills and coding are becoming a larger part of the integral skill sets of the new generation, so getting them started young and having them develop an inherent love and confidence with advanced computing is not a bad thing. First Code Academy (pictured) has organised its summer camps into age groups, naturally offering the older ones more complicated courses.
