It’s been a while since we featured a timelapse video of Hong Kong, but the wait was definitely worth it. Just check out this epic masterpiece from talented Ukrainian timelapse photographer Kirill Neiezhmakov.
We barely have time to process all the images that flash before our eyes in the 3.5 minute clip, which manages to squeeze in everything we love about our crazy, vibrant, action-packed city that – like the clip – seems to move at a million miles an hour.
“Hong Kong is one of my favourite cities in the world, and I wanted to show people the bright colours of this dynamic and thrilling 21st century cosmopolitan metropolis”, Kirill tells Localiiz. “It’s a bustling city full of impressive high rises and one of the most highly developed transportation networks I have ever seen, which makes it very convenient to travel around.”
It certainly seems that Kirill made the most of Hong Kong’s bustling network, hopping on every mode of public transport there is to capture the epic shots, which include some of the city’s most photographed iconic spots. Look closely and you may even notice some subtle special effects along the Avenue of Stars!
“Hong Kong proudly proclaims itself to be ‘Asia’s World City’ and it’s not hard to see why”, he adds. “There’s no other place like it.”
Fasten your seat belts people – you’re in for one epic ride!
