In a bid to tap into the local consumer market and the booming mainland tourist trade, Japanese discount chain store Don Don Donki opens its first Hong Kong location in Tsim Sha Tsui this July. Here’s everything you need to know.
The famous one-stop-shop megastore Don Don Donki, also known in Japan as Don Quijote, sells a plethora of consumer goods, from basic groceries, electronics, makeup, and clothing to suitcases, and more. Many Don Don Donki locations in Japan are open 24 hours for those who fancy a late night snack or a last-minute shopping spree, and the Hong Kong branch is no different—expect to indulge in some late-night splurges.
Don Don Donki takes over the 15,000 square-foot space left behind by fashion retailer Collect Point in Mira Place II. Aside from the large shopping section, the Hong Kong branch also features a Sweet Potato Factory for mid-shopping snacks to lure in locals and tourists. Well, we don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to get splurging.
