Indulge the Senses at The SCENT of Art Exhibition

September 16th 2013

Local art-force STUDIO 83 is bringing Hong Kong art lovers a new experience for all the sense while supporting child cancer sufferers. The SCENT of Art charity painting exhibition will see guests exploring art in a new way, as different pieces are matched with complementary fragrances.

Bon Bon by Keiichi Misaki

The exhibition will feature around 40 paintings, including five from emerging artists in the contemporary scene: Keiichi Misaki from Japan, Theo Marmolejo from Ecuador, and three Hong Kong artists, Leon Lollipop, Charles Hui and Herman Wong.

The five zones of the exhibition will each host a unique scent, specially designed by ScentAir to engage the audience in a new way. The zones and scents are: morning grass for ‘Land’, sandy beach for ‘Ocean’, woman’s scent for ‘Sensual’, forest aroma for ‘Woody’, and candy scent for ‘Fun’.

The STUDIO 83 showcase, which will take place from September 18th to 23rd at the Exhibition Hall of Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre, will raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Foundation Hong Kong. The exhibition is free, but part of the sales proceeds go towards supporting the work of the Foundation’s hospitals, community projects and the daily needs of cancer patients and their families. The painting of ‘Hope’, created by a group of child cancer survivors, will also be exhibited.
