The Hong Kong Police are sharing their version of events that took place during the Occupy demonstrations in a series of short videos, Hong Kong People Hong Kong Police. The series, produced by the Information Services Department and Police Public Relations Branch, features officers who had central roles during the protests including David Jordan, a Senior Superintendent and longtime resident of Hong Kong featured in ‘My Heart Is Here’, and Wang-Shan Kwan, a member of the Yuen Long District Investigation Team and female representative of the police force in ‘Woman Officers – An Equal Force’.
In each video the featured member of the police force discusses his or her role during the Occupy movement, frequently praising their colleagues’ work. What do you think? Accurate representation or propaganda?
