Video of Government Official at Occupy Goes Unnoticed Online

As demonstrators call for a dialogue with the Hong Kong government, a video of a Hong Kong government official visiting Occupy supporters has gone largely unnoticed since being posted yesterday. The video, also posted to the homepage of the government website, has received seven views and features Pamela Tan, Director of Home Affairs alongside representatives of the Central & Western, Wan Chai, Eastern, and Southern District councils as they visited Yee Wo Street in Causeway Bay and Queensway. Tan can be seen asking demonstrators to leave the area and relocate to nearby parks. You can see the video below.

Queensway erupted in violence yesterday as residents who oppose the Occupy demonstrators tore down blockades along the street. The barricades were later reconstructed and reenforced before Hong Kong police officers dismantled them earlier today, at times using chainsaws to cut through bamboo structures.
