“The Hoff” to Headline Rugby Sevens Concert

If the prospect of dressing up in an outrageous costume and partying in the notorious South Stand of Rugby Sevens isn’t enough to get you excited, news that “The Hoff” is joining this year’s sporting shenanigans certainly will.

The international recording artist and star of the TV series Knight Rider and Baywatch, is set to host the HKSEVENS Kick-off Concert on Wednesday, April 6, at the Sevens Village across from the Stadium.

The stud was a staple of the television coverage around the recent Rugby World Cup, and is gearing up to give us a Sevens to remember – even with all the buckets of beer!

“We need some rugby action and a world-class party and the best place on earth for that is at the Hong Kong Sevens,” he says. “I’m Hoffcrazy to be this year’s Ambassador. I may even bring my car and the Baywatch babes, although from what I understand about the Sevens, there should be several people dressed up in their red bikinis already!”

The Hoff will also appear inside the Stadium throughout Sevens weekend, and will be joined by Scottish rockers The Proclaimers and renowned ABBA tribute band Björn Again, so get ready to bellow I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and Dancing Queen at the top of your lungs!

Previous Sevens have seen the Beach Boys, Queen Extravaganza, and the Village People, but we have a feeling this year’s line up will blow them out of the water!

Enjoy the teaser!
