Prepare yourself for an assault on the senses that will hurt, oh so good! On August 11th, up-and-coming foodie and music event organiser Ear Belly will launch BUN FIGHTS – the first of what’s sure to be a delicious series of events combining the best and most exciting food in the city with the hottest music acts from around the globe.
Four of Hong Kong’s top carnivore-friendly restaurants have been quietly cooking away to prepare for the ultimate battle of the burger, with each eatery creating an off-the-menu exclusive burger for BUN FIGHTS.
Foodie Magazine Chef of the Year 2013, Danny Chaney of Blue Butcher will be combining his highly competitive nature with an extreme passion for meat; Posto Pubblico’s chef Vinny Lauria will be stepping up to the plate with a few juicy tricks up his sleeve; and The Pawn’s Michelin Starred dream team, chefs Jonay Armas and Victor Burgos, will be joining the battle, promising nothing less than perfection.
Also braving the heat of the kitchen arena will be chef Jack Carson from southern soul food restaurant Restoration – and if anyone knows how to grill’em, it’s folks from the South! A selection of sides will also be provided to freshen up the meat fest – if you’re into that sort of thing – and the Lab Made Ice Cream boys will be there to cool things down with their nitrogen-infused treats. Lastly, the folks from Made in Paradise will be serving up their famous slushies.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the likes of Dj Yao, Woodtek, Vibaholics, K-Melo, Livin Discoheads, Valentino de Bronff and special guests.
