5 Fitness Classes You Can Squeeze in During Your Lunch Break

If you’re still clinging to the hope of getting fit this new year, but struggling to find the motivation to get out of bed an hour earlier to conquer the morning workout, then you might want to check out some of these fitness institutions and wellness centres in Hong Kong that offer lunchtime workouts in under an hour, promising to have you back at your desk in no time.



1. HIT45

Located in the heart of Central, HIT45 is an indoor bootcamp studio offering high-intensity training and workouts designed to have you working up a sweat without eating too far into your precious time. The workout says it in the name – 45-minutes of hard-hitting, intense cardio, and strength training, followed by a dedicated focus on stretching to aid recovery (and try and abate the aches and pains that tend to follow suit). Lunchtime Unlimited packages are priced at $1,900, but if you’re not quite ready to go in all guns blazing just yet, single sessions can be purchased for $295. First-time visitors are entitled to a free trial.

2. LIGHTS//OUT

The first boxing studio of its kind in Hong Kong, LIGHTS//OUT offers a wide range of group boxing classes. Located inside Warrior Academy, lunchtime classes at the studio are held at noon daily and range from the classic boxing session to HIIT partner workouts, to the gruelling full body Blitz workout. Classes are 45-minutes long and can be booked online. Trial classes are priced at $150, while additional single sessions can be purchased for $275. Bulk-bought packages range from five to 100 sessions and cost between $1,225 and $18,000. Lockers and hand wraps are also available for purchase or rental at the studio.

3. Goji Elite

Goji Elite is the recently rebranded fitness centre formerly known as Warrior Academy. The studio offers a wide range of movement, strengthening, and conditioning classes. Its Lift and Sweat classes are held at 12.30pm, leaving you time to make the most of your lunchbreak and be back at your desk before long. Classes are designed to help you perfect your posture and technique, to practice safe and effective movements. Integrating circuit training into the hour’s activities, you can opt to pay a drop-in rate, schedule a weekly pass, or engage one of the more permanent membership options. 4. H-Kore

H-Kore is Hong Kong’s only fitness studio to focus on the Lagree Fitness method – scientifically workout designed to work your entire body. With studios in both Central and Quarry Bay, H-Kore offers 45-minute lunchtime classes focusing on its trademark H-Kore workout – small, repetitive, high-intensity movements designed to strengthen and improve mobility. Classes are priced at $350 for drop-ins, while multiple class packages are also available at varying prices.

5. Flex Studio

Ballet may look like an effortlessly elegant performance, but there are some serious muscles at work behind these movements. At Flex Studio’s One Island South centre, Express Xtend Barre classes take you through a series of Pilates and ballet movements for a complete workout. Classes are suitable for everyone from beginners to more advanced students, with an emphasis on technique and breathwork to ensure a safe and steady practice. Drop-in classes are priced at $300, and packages of five classes or more are priced from $1,400.
