You are cordially invited to participate at the "Getting to Zero" - 2014 Microfilm Contest for Hong Kong Youth, jointly presented by the St. John's Cathedral HIV Education Centre and the Hop Yuen Charitable Foundation Fund.
People affected by HIV infections have become younger. Almost half of new HIV infections occur in youth who are 10 to 24 years old. There are 7,000 young people worldwide infected every day. Through this competition, we aim to bring people from different walks of life, different sectors and backgrounds to combat HIV/AIDS and to create a non-discriminatory society for those who are living with HIV.
We welcome young people aged between 15 to 35 to participate the contest by forming a team of not more than 12 persons.
The theme is: "Zero New Infections, Zero Discrimination and Zero ZIDS - Related Deaths".
Participants can produce a short film of 3 to 10 minutes. The content of the video can be a story (real or fictitious), or can express feelings towards those who are infected.
Deadline: 30th June, 2014 (with reference to the postal stamp date of Hong Kong Post Office)
Prize: $5,000 and a trophy.
The winning film will be placed on the centre's official facebook and youtube page. It will also be used at the promotional video next year.
