Has anyone here been to a wine and cheese night at the W or Mira hotel?

I really like the wine and cheese night at the W. It's held in Woo Bar, so a really nice setting and if I can remember from last time about 10 types of wine, 10 types of soft and hard cheese, fondue, sliced cold cuts, anti pasto, and dried fruit selection.

Woo Bar's wine and cheese night runs from 8-10:30 on Wednesdays. It is $238 per person inclusive of all you can eat and drink wine/cheese.

I am going this Tuesday to the Mira for their wine and cheese night at Whisk. I talked to them on the phone and they said they have a similar amount of wines, cheeses, breads, fresh fruit, and spreads.

So far the only downside of my experience with Mira is that they are requiring me to give them my credit card number over the phone to make a deposit for booking... If you/your guests cancel within 3 days of your booking they keep the deposit. It was also really annoying doing it all over the phone as I was in a rush and they wanted my card number, email address, etc.

Whisk's wine and cheese night takes place on Tuesdays from 7-10:30pm. The price is $248 per person for free flow wine and cheese buffet.

So we shall see which bar has the better wine and cheese buffet!

Love them both! But I like the Mira slightly more as Vibes is just such a chilled place to hang out & have a relaxed drink with friends.

I have been to Whisk 2 weeks ago, it's a nice area, not so crowd, spacious.

"Whisk's wine and cheese night takes place on Tuesdays from 7-10:30pm. The price is $248 per person for free flow wine and cheese buffet. " - that's correct

"Woo Bar's wine and cheese night runs from 8-10:30 on Wednesdays. It is $238 per person inclusive of all you can eat and drink wine/cheese." - they increased to $258 +10% service charge now, I will go there tomorrow with colleagues. Do you guys think that we should go there earlier in order to get a better seats? I have made the reservation 2 weeks ago. Cheers,

Just spent a night at W to try that Wine&Cheese, well, my comment is..... bad, not so many choices for cheese, the background music is too loud, I went there with few colleagues, but couldn't talk properly . I think Whisk is much better although there is lesser selection of wines, but I will still go for it next time!
